Employees on the streets, Punjab government is silent

Author: Riaz Ahmed

For the past several days, the government employees have been protesting and holding pen strikes in favor of their demands. Due to the lack of work in the offices of the employees, they are forced to stumble upon the Silen Darbadar. The employees are insisting to continue their protest and centrally, various union representatives and office bearers from all districts of Punjab have been sitting in Lahore for several days with convoys from all over Punjab and are protesting on the streets. Due to the strict instructions and strictness of the government, they are not being commented on in any media, nor are they being mentioned in the media talk in any edition of the night, and no such news is being given in the newspapers. This gives the impression that the employees of Punjab are on strike and they are demanding their rights like other provinces in the style of federation, but neither their voice is going out nor the rulers due to these strikes. If anyone is getting affected, they are the civilians who go to the offices in connection with their work, so all the provincial departments across Punjab are on strike at this time and the government work across Punjab. The election is near but this work is also getting delayed. The federation has issued a notification to increase the salaries of all the employees by 35%, while Punjab has not done so, which angered the employees. On the contrary, in Sindh province, all the employees have been given privileges on the federal pattern. This can be countered by saying that the one who is getting 180 thousand salary in Sindh is getting the same salary in Punjab. 100,000 rupees, it is very noteworthy that the Punjab government is treating its employees preferentially and the political parties are not taking any influence in the provinces. The representative has expressed solidarity with the employees, except for Jamaat-e-Islami, who has expressed solidarity with the employees. There is a conspiracy against Nawaz League and Asif Ali Zardari is making this conspiracy against Nawaz Sharif’s party. The details of this conspiracy are very interesting that there has always been an extraordinary increase in the salaries of government employees in Sindh, while in Punjab it has been marginal, but this time it has reached the limit. The increase of government employees is not more than four thousand rupees. I got information from the officials of EPCA, Agiga, Pipla and many other organizations of Class IV employees that the Federation and Sindh increased the salary by 35% and Punjab by 30%, so how come it is a difference of 5%. The answer was very technical that all the provinces including the federation gave salary increase to their employees on ‘running basis’ while Punjab on ‘initial basis’. Those who know the pay structure of government employees understand the difference between running and initial very well. The caretaker government of Punjab has also abused the retired old employees of their province and their pensions have been made by the federation and other provinces. Additions 50’17Instead of percentage, only 5% has increased.

At present, the number of government employees in Punjab is between 9 to 10 lakh, while pensioners are also around one lakh, whose families are affected by this unfair decision of the caretaker government of Punjab. The family of every government employee is less. It consists of more than 5 to 8 people, that is, about one crore votes are made from these 15 lakh people. Many of them are associated with the fields of health, local government and education, which means that if they get angry with a political party, they can create several angry generations. After that, there is no shame in giving the conclusion that PPP has always taken more measures for the poor people, farmers and government employees than other political parties. The interesting thing is that even now the PPP has been completely successful in giving the impression that it was Ishaq Dar who increased the salaries of Ishaq Dar by 35% in the federal budget, while his demand was 40% according to media reports, but Ishaq Dar gave 20%. were not willing to give more than On the same occasion, the PPP fought another case of its own province and took first 25 billion and then another 12 billion for the flood-affected people of Sindh. For these 37 billion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had to give a speech and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had to give two statements. Now the impression is that if government employees want to get any benefit, they have to support PPP. I found many civil servants who openly said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif always abused civil servants. When Sindh increased the salary by 20%, Punjab increased it by 10% and now the situation is that the salary of the same grade in Sindh is Rs. Government employees ask whether petrol, electricity, gas and ghee are available at half price in Punjab, because salaries are low here? Another heart-warming revelation was that Punjab’s Class IV employees are twenty-four years behind the government employees of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Grade IV comes Naib Kasid, Mali and Sweeper etc. who are in Grade One in Punjab and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the same employees are in Grade Four. 24 years pass by the same grade one employees of Punjab going to grade four. Agiga and other organizations in Punjab are demanding that Grade IV employees here should also be given Grade Four, but the rulers who are not ready to give them equal pay, how will they give them equal or higher grades. Class IV employees are in real sense serving the public rather than the tyrannical bosses.

Those who are laborious. It is surprising that Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and many other such tyrants are protesting against the abuse of thousands of civil servants in their city. Due to them, the busiest roads of Lahore are blocked, they are fainting in extreme heat and hypocrisy, a leader Sultan Mujadadi has reached the Punjab Institute of Cardiology due to a heart attack, but the Prime Minister, despite his promise to the nation, The caretakers of Punjab are not asking the Chief Minister to end this cruelty and injustice, I wonder why they are silent. My political prediction is that in the current situation, his opponent Imran Khan cannot come to power, but the question is whether the power of hearts is not more important. They do not belong to the party, they vote of their own free will, nor can they be forced, therefore, apart from the issues of which party they belong to, according to the laws, the same privileges are given to the government employees of Punjab along with the federal government. Give them what they deserve
