Layyah: It has been decided to launch a crackdown on Itaiyas across the district. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Amira Baidar. The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Suram Chand Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Jitender Mishra; PO ICDS Anu Bhel; General Manager DIC, Sansar Chand; Deputy District Election Officer, Rajeev Magotra besides other nodal officers, returning officers and other election officials. Deputy Commissioner Amira Bidar said that an immediate crackdown should be launched to eradicate Ataiyat, every person’s life is precious and Atai cannot be allowed to play with anyone’s life.He said that there is no scope for illegal clinics, labs and clinics in homes, there are excellent hospitals and health facilities in the district. People should approach hospitals, certified doctors for treatment. CEO Health Dr. Shahid Riaz, while briefing, said that 38 places were inspected in the district for anti-tobacco drive.
